In case you were not aware, my desired degree is a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Visual Communication. BFA applications are held twice a year and the applicants present their work on a wall inside the Kimbal Arts building. Technically I only need two semesters left of school and only one semester has to be under the BFA program. It was time I should apply. I spent a lot of time and work into this display and it was very stressful. To no avail, I didn't get in.
Honestly, I can understand why I wasn't accepted. I did not spend the time I should have on the artist statement I had to write. After reading it after my application, I knew I wasn't going to get it. It does suck when you see your friends get in but this only means I will produce a better application my second time around.
Scholarship applications are held the following week. I decided to revamp my wall (it definitely needed it.) I haven't found out the results of this yet but I do hope something works out in my favor.
